ERIKA FAY (ANA) has been acting since the age of 8 when she starred in a production of “Blank” in her hometown of Philadelphia. Since then, she has continued performing in professional theatre from coast to coast including roles in: “Rumors”, “Danny and the Deep Sea”, “The Glass Menagerie”, and “10 Dollar Drinks”, to name a few. Erika has studied at such places as the Actors’ Center, The University of Miami, Fine Arts Conservatory, McCadden Place Theatre with Joe Salazar, Curt Owens Meisner Studio, The Scott Sedita Studio, and various others. She has performed for two consecutive years with the touring company, “Kids are Laghing”, which performs fo rill or disabled children throughout Southern California. Erika has enjoyed working in a number of commercials, music videos and independent films including Scott Maginnis’ film “Myopia”. She was thrilled and delighted to work with him again in “Chupacabra”.
GABRIEL GUTTIERREZ (MIGUEL) studied acting in Mexico City before moving to Los Angeles. He majored in Theatre/Acting at the University of Southern California. Since then, he has accrued several credits in professional Theatre playing in a London production of the “Europeans”. Los Angeles productions such as “Tales of the Lost Formicans”. “David and Lisa”, and “Bang Bang You’re Dead”. Aside from a slew of commercials, music videos and small roles in TV shows such as “Cracking Up” Gutierrez has produced several plays and Solo Performance nights. He is currently Producing Director in LA’s theatre company, Blue Sphere Alliance. Chupacabra is his first feature film.
SARA ERIKSON (JILL) comes to Los Angeles from Virginia, where she studied Theatre and Communications at Virginia Tech. Upon arriving in LA, she began studying at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and then left to study at the Margie Haber Studios. Since moving to LA, Sara has been in several plays, commercials, and music videos. Most recently, Sara booked a guest starring role on the new Carsey-Warner-Mandabach sitcom, “Good Girls Don’t”, premiering on the Oxygen Network in June.
MARTINE HUGHES (ROSIE) was born in Pasadena, CA and began acting in 1996. Since then she has worked in theatre, commercials, televisions, modeling, and has acted in over 20 short films, with Chipacabra marking her sixth feature film appearance. Recent film credits include the lead role in “The Break”, written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Geri Ulreay, and supporting roles in “Corner of the Eye” and Abby Singer. She is also a member of the LA-based theatre company, Blue Sphere Alliance. Outside of acting, her passions lie in writing, reading , politics and sports. She was a competitive gymnast for eight years and a Jr. Olympic volleyball player. Now she is an avid follower of NBA Basketball and of the NFL. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her dog, Hobart.
LOUIE CRUZ BELTRAN (MANNY) has been performing passionately as a musician and actor for twenty-five years. As an actor his film credits include: “Chupacabra”, " Judging Amy”, “La Redada” (The Return), “Latino”, “Scarecrow and Mrs. King”, “Miami Vice” and “The Lieutenant’s Wife” . His theatre credits include “The Odd Couple” , “The Young Lady From Tacna”, “I Get Nothing Out Of School”, “Steambath”. Louie Cruz Beltran presently performs as a vocalist percussionist bandleader of his own 10-piece Latin Jazz Orchestra. Mr. Beltran tours include Europe, Scandinavia, Morocco Africa, Mexico and Central America. Louie Cruz Beltran Latin Jazz Orchestra can be seen presently at various Venues and Jazz Festivals throughout Los Angeles and the West Coast. MARK HALVORSON (BRAD) is a very talented and versatile character actor who has enjoyed success in theatre, television and film. He appeared in another Scott Maginnis feature film, myopia, playing the nebbish and dysfunctional character of Bob. Mark has also appeared in a series of shorts by Scott Maginnis including an unforgettable unicycle riding hero in The Squeaky Wheel. Although he has been acting and working in Hollywood for years, most recently he has been thrilled to work on such films as Kicking and Screaming, with Will Farrell and The Wedding Crashers with Owen Wilson. Mark also continues studying improv at The Groundlings Theatre in Hollywood. A native of Southern California, Mark Halvorson began acting in children’s theatre at the tender age of five and continued to perform for many years before being accepted into the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts where he studied acting and performed in Repertory Theatre. Mark also received his Bachelor of Arts in Directing at Cal State University, Fullerton.

SCOTT MAGINNIS' feature film experience includes “Mexican Werewolf in Texas” a character-driven horror film to be completed summer 2004, and “myopia”, an award-winning independent film, both of which he wrote and directed. His next feature film is currently in development.
Scott has made several short films including “The Squeaky Wheel”, which gained festival recognition. In 1999, Scott directed commercials for “Independent Film Magazine/IFC” and “I gels”. The following year he directed a promotional piece for Sony Pictures “The Patriot” that was hosted by Harry Shearer.
Scott has worked on several studio pictures in the capacity of Prop Master or Decorator including: ‘Twelve Monkeys”, “Men in Black”, “Independence Day”, “Godzilla”, “The Time Machine” and “Daredevil”. Prior to that, he earned his living as a chef in Paris.
RANDY MERMELL is the Executive Producer/Producer of three (3) feature films, ‘MYOPIA’ (written and directed by Scott Maginnis and winner of the Best Drama Award at the 2002 Hollywood Underground Film Festival), ‘BLOODGNOME’ - (written and directed by John Lechago), and’ Mexican Werewolf in Texas” (written and directed by Scott Maginnis)
‘Bloodgnome’ was sold at Cannes and was released on DVD/Video worldwide. Randy received his degree from UCLA in economics with a minor in production. Randy formed Turning Point Productions in 1993 with the goal of establishing a full-service, creative facility that provided production resources for up and coming filmmakers. In addition to feature films he has produced local and national commercials, hundreds of short documentaries and corporate videos, and is now currently focusing on creature features.
COURTNEY (WILLIAMS) DUBOIS is currently in pre-production on her third feature film, Chupacabra written and to be directed by Scott Maginnis (Myopia) through Turning Point Films, Inc. in and around the Los Angeles area. She is also in development on several feature projects. Courtney’s second feature film, The Chester Story, written and directed by Rebecca Bagley Cook through Velveteen Films, Inc., will be released theatrically in the U.S.through Outrider Pictures. The film is currently playing in several foreign markets via PorchLight Entertainment, under the title A Touch Of Fate . The film stars Teri Hatcher, Andrea Powell and Robert Trevelier. Courtney’s first feature film, The Gypsy Years, also written and directed by, Rebecca Bagley Cook through Velveteen Films, Inc., was accepted into and screened at The Melbourne International Film & Video Festival, Melbourne, FL, FirstGlance LA Film & Video Festival, The Jamerican International Film & Music Festival, Jamaica and AngelCiti Film & Music Market, Raleigh Studios, LA.
Courtney received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies from University of California at Santa Barbara.
